Cribbage Board

Muggins Round Cribbage Board

This "coffee table" version of the traditional small rectangular cribbage board is a showpiece that can be left out, ready to play at a moment's notice.  This cribbage board is fashioned from select hardwoods and includes tracks for up to four players as well as games won and skunk tracks. Four large non-marring support feet stabilize the board and protect your table surface. Your choice of a custom board cover is also included.

Choose from one of our many standard covers, any branch of the military, fire service and others. Custom covers are available---just tell us what you want.

Muggins - Cutthroat Cribbage
Muggins (also known as cut-throat) is a commonly used but optional rule, which must be announced before gameplay begins. If a player fails to claim their full score on any turn, the opponent may call out "Muggins" and peg any points overlooked by the player.----Wikipedia
Muggins tends to slow down play, as you tend to count everything twice for fear of missing points. It also seems rather unfair to make you pay a double penalty (not only do you not get the points, your opponent gets them) for what is, after all, a simple mistake, not a bad play. This is especially discouraging for beginners, who ironically are most likely to lose points this way. Muggins is usually played in tournaments, serious club play and between old friends who enjoy arguments.

Wood is a natural product and no two pieces are exactly the same.  Grain, design makeup and wood coloring will vary slightly from board to board and from the examples depicted on this page.  Also, most woods will darken or change color slightly over time, particularly with exposure to sunlight.  This is. a natural evolution and you will find that the character of the wood deepens and grows richer.
