The thought of Kansas City barbeque sets our mouths to watering.  Actually any good barbeque from any one of a number of the barbeque meccas in the United States will do the job.

This generously sized (12" x 19" x 1") oblong carving board is available in different woods and wood combinations and they feature a juice groove to collect errant meat juices.  This board is reversible--use the other side as a cutting board.

Remember to let your meat rest for 15 to 20 minutes after you take it off the grill or out of the oven so that it will retain its juices.  You want your juices in the meat, not on the carving board.

Wood is a natural product and no two pieces are exactly the same.  Grain, coloring and even the dimensions will vary slightly from board to board and from the examples depicted on this page.  Also, most woods will darken or change color slightly, particularly with exposure to sunlight.  You will find that the character of the wood will deepen and grow more luxurious over time.
