What makes a carving board different from a cutting board? Quite simply they are intended for carving cooked meats and poultry. Carving boards are thinner and lighter so they can easily be carried from your barbeque or kitchen to the dining table. They typically feature juice grooves to trap errant meat juices. Though if you have too much juice, then you probably didn't let your meat rest long enough. Do so for fifteen to twenty minutes and you'll have less juice on your board and more in your meat.
